He's the ultimate risk/reward guy.

I'm not drafting Ken Griffey in the 4th round, Prior.....maybe. If he's there in the 5th I would be very tempted.

I agree, I wouldn't draft him too early, but what if he's on your keeper league? Do you hang onto him and deal with the consequences, or do you drop him into the draft and kick yourself if he ends up pulling out of it and becoming the pitcher he should be?

I'm staying away from Prior and Wood both like the plague. I've seen their value fall a little bit, but not enough.

wht kind of keeper rule does your league use - how expensive would it be for you to keep prior and who would you keep instead?

It's a relatively small league -- 9 teams. We keep 6 players. Two have to be pitchers, two have to be hitters and the other two are wild cards -- either pitchers or hitters or one of each. I haven't thought about who I'd keep instead of Prior, but it would have to be a pitcher, since I'm keeping 4 hitters. My only realistic options would be Foulke or Izzy. My other keeper pitcher is a guy from Minnesota with the first name Johan. Thanks for your help!

Thanks Cornbread. That's what I was thinking, but it helps to have someone back me up. I guess I get to spend the rest of the spring with my fingers crossed.....
