I'm curious as to why people are ignoring Pujols problem. Plantear facitis is a serious injury, that could get worse during the season.
JD Drew had surgery to correct his problem.. is it possible Pujols may elect to have surgery? I'm not certain. But isn't this a major concern? I don't think I'm going to pick him if I have the opportunity.

If I do get that first pick, it'll be VLAD for me.

i am not too worried because:
A) he had the problem last year and did fine.
B) he has had a good response from the ultrasound treatment so if the problem flares up during the season it is likely he would go that route over surgery (which means he would just miss a few days)
C) he is a competitor. he said he doesnt want to play through it if it hurts like last year but if the cards are in the hunt for the playoffs there is no way he voluntarily chooses to have season ending surgery. if he has surgery it will be in the offseason.

I'm not sure if saying that JD Drew couldn't play through an injury means a person with an ordinary pain threshold couldn't do it rather easily.

I'm not concerned, because I am in a keeper league. If he goes down this year, it stinks, but I'd rather have his future path than many others. I'll just draft a few reserves to try to limit the damage.
