Picked up Reyes off waivers...Should I trade Abreu?

Postby FieldOfCorn » Fri Mar 18, 2005 11:42 am

Ok, I just picked up Reyes off waivers (a guy in my league dropped him for Adam Kennedy!!) I'm thinking I can spare Abreu's steals now and maybe use him, Batista, and McPherson to trade for a CI and a stud Pitcher. If I did a 3:2 I'd pick up Wolf off FA mkt to fill in the hole in my rotation. I'd like to trade for Shilling and Blalock (Team 1) or M. Cabrera and T. Hudson (Team 2), but wanted your opinions on how to make it work.

sorry if i did the trade with Team 2, I'd offer him Abreu, one of my SP (which one?), and Batista.

any other opinions? my thinking was that if i could replace the 4 other categories with the amount of steals i should have with crawford, reyes, matsui, and the few lee gets me i should be good with steals. That said, I thought i could package him owff to help at least one of what i consider my two weakest posistions (SP and CI). Let me know if you think i should go for a trade or stay put. Thanks for all the help.

I am gonna have to say dont trade him, I wanted him real bad and was to far down in the draft. I would keep him all year.
