I have the 1st and 3rd pick in an upcoming Minor League Draft.

I also have Mcpherson, Kotchman, and Reed locked up long term.

Who would you pick?

Obviously....it is Young or Felix with the 1st (which one?)....but who would you target 3rd?

Picking Felix first gives me a chance to build a more balanced team long term.... but Young would give me a SOLID core of young hitters to build with.

The 3rd pick seems like Prince would be a great addition...but with Kotch already potentially anchoring 1b, do I need a 1b there?

Guzman (when does he get moved off of SS)? Barton (I know it is a reach here, but isn't this kid the real deal)? Marte (Mcpherson is already a long term solution at 3b)? Hanley (a DEFINATE reach, but does position scarcity set in here?)

Help please.

I'd take Young with the first pick. Best player available. Then, assuming the second guy takes Felix, I'd take Prince.

I know you have a 1b, but speaking of Kotchman: Do you remember Glass Joe from Punch Out? He's very injury prone. And I think Prince is the best of those guys - especially with Barton moving over to 1st.

Ian Stewart...Coors' Field, assuming the other of Young and Hernandez is taken at 2.

that's what i was gonna say. i'd grab young 1st, and then asssuming the felix is taken 2nd, grab stewart.

i would go delmon young first,and then if feliz is gone at 2 i would take andy marte at 3.....

I would not pass up the chance at Felix..(you will regret it for years to come in your league) and you can grab Ian Stewart 3rd...
Delmon Young is gonna be very good, but you have some great hitters, and Ian Stewart could be as good a hitter as Young... You won't find any pitcher with the upside of Felix..
