I've recently gotten into computer baseball sims. Is there a good one on the market? I used to play strat-o-matic as a kid, and I see they have a computer version. Is it any good? Ideally, I'd like to take players from the past, make a league and play some games. But I'd also like to make a league from certain teams of the past. Any advice appreciated.

The other good one is Diamond Mind Baseball (DMB). Out of the Park (OOTP) is cheaper and better, from what I've heard.

OOTP kicks serious but. Me, pedantic, and whitesox04champs are all in a sim league together that uses the Out of the Park Program. Been using it for 3 years now and 0 problems.
Check out our
league site.

When I was a kid, I played APBA with cards. It's similar to Strat-o-matic. When I got older, I played it on computer and I think it's pretty great. I started with the 1971 season and have played through mid-season of 1978 so far and I love it. APBA Baseball for Windows.

Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'
