In 5x5 OBP leagues is Bonds the only person to consider at #1? All of my projections make him easily the most valuable pick, but I have reservations about taking him at #1 with all of the controversy surrounding the season and his health issues. Would it be stupid to even consider taking Vlad/Arod/Beltran/Pujols first?
I'd go with Abreu, BTW, just to avoid any serious risks. (Abreu will allow more flexibility later on, too, methinks. With even a .310 AVG, he'll probably help you in that cat as much as Bonds, because of ABs.)

I don't think average is a category in a 5x5 OBP league.

For OBP, plate appearances count, not ABs. So all those walks count just as a hit would. I don't think Abreu will have so many more plate appearances than Bonds to make up the difference in OBP.
