Swindell had a couple of good years before he made it home. I was a little disappointed with what happened after that.

I've seen Street pitch quite a few times, Disch Falk is 2 miles from me, but to compare him to Gagne is insane.

Street is a legit reliever, if he has the mentality he can be a great closer. Although 88% seems a bit high, I wouldn't be surprised to seem get the job. Dotel has been inconsistent in the past, and there isn't much to be lost in dealing him with such a solid prospect waiting to step up.

i dont really get the michael jackson joke, might wanna work on your jokes dog, but i know that some people arent as high on him as i am but ive pretty much followed him since he's been in college. kid's a stud --better than any recent reliever prospect i can think of who rose through the system from low A to AAA in a half season and is ready for the majors as early as April 3. i understand that people just dont know about him now, but midway through this season people will be going crazy over acquiring him.

the Huston Street craze has started.

Calm down buddy, he isnt going to be the A's closer anytime soon. The only way Street will be pitching the 9th inning for the A's this season is if Octavio Dotel is traded.

and I can guarentee he won't be traded anytime soon. There is a chance he will be traded at the deadline, but if the A's are doing well then that probably won't happen.

Even if Dotel is traded the A's will probably look at both Calero & or Cruz to finish out the year as closer, and have Street pitch the 8th inning.

Street has a ton of potential (to call him gagne is a bi ridiculous), Im sure he will mold into a great closer and a top fantasy closer in the coming years but just not anytime soon.
