Inge is having a huge Spring batting .440 with 4 HR and 10 RBI in 25AB. Normally I don't put too much stock in ST statistics, but I wonder if Inge is worth picking up to see if he can have a break-out year at the C position? What do you guys think?

I think Inge is a solid backup C this year, but spring stats don't mean anything.

I've drafted Inge a few times this year. He has C,3B, and OF eligibility in most Yahoo leagues. I see a .270, 15-20 HR, 75-85 RBI year from him, which isn't bad for a 2nd catcher or bench/backup guy.

yeah I have Cuddyer and Inge on my bench and between them they cover 8 positions! (Inge- C, 3B, LF, CF Cuddyer- 1B, 2B, 3B, RF).
I think both will have solid seasons as backup players on my team

I like Inge a lot, but I don't think you'll see too much improvement in his numbers this season. Some improvement is very possible as long as he stays regularly at 3B this year as opposed to moving between positions like last year. Apparently he's a different player when he's not the catcher (he'll even admit that himself). He's a great backup C who could easily put up top-10 C numbers considering he should play just about everyday, but wouldn't be quite as impressive used as a 3B or OF.
It's true that spring stats don't mean much, but Inge did have a few stretches last year where he'd hit well over .300 for a good week or so. He tends to be streaky like that.
