Crazy minor league numbers: In 123 games, Burke hit .315 with 16 home runs, 52 RBIs, 93 runs scored and 37 stolen bases.
But can he do it in the bigs? I think I'll watch him for the time being, and then pounce if he has a really good ST (whatever that means these days!) or the guy does not drop Lugo...
An unanswered question is better than an unquestioned answer
Burke has a good chance starting the year as backup or in the minors. The Astros would like to move Biggio back to 2nd if they can get consistent play in CF from Willi Taveras or from a trade so proceed with caution. I think that the best option here is Infante, he is 2B/3B and was 15-15 with 70 runs last year and has potential to do more. I like Lugo also, but I think in no way Infante shouldn't be in on somebody's team and am willing to bet that by season's end, barring injury he won't be.
If Burke gets the starting job at 2B he'll easily out-earn all the guys mentioned on this page. Now for a backup, that's what you want. If it's a starter, grab Lugo but keep an eye on the Houston situation and grab Burke if it looks like he has the job.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
Wouldn't Biggio moving to 2nd make him a bit of a sleeper.....I know he is old, but his numbers at 2nd would be a steal in later rounds. I don't think too many people in my league will be looking at him. Just a thought.
2 2B sleepers would be Biggio if he gets time and Adam kennedy when he comes back, might be a nice guy to put on DL once season starts if you have multiple DL spots.
