Yearly Nightmare

Is this the sign of a sick, sick man? Every year, I have a dream a few times leading up to the draft in my money league. In the dream, I generally show up at the draft, get inside, and realize I forgot all my materials. No Prospectus, no mags, not even my spreadsheets. I can do without the mag and Prospectus, as they're just quick reference materials for later rounds. But without my spreadsheets, things wouldn't go so well, I don't think.

(I finish in the top of my league every year; the lowest I've finished is third. So, it's not like I'd flail miserably without them. It's just that the thought of being without them is scary! They've got all my injury info, my positional rankings, overall rankings, and projections on them!)


*cry*... I'm sick a geek... for other people, not having a stack of spreadsheets with them at all times would be a GOOD dream, not a nightmare!

In this day and age of laptops, why are you carrying a ton of paper around?

I brought my laptop last year. However, we generally have our draft in a private room in a restaurant, and I never... never just assume that there will be some place to plug in the laptop.

(Summary: I bring the sheets and the laptop, to be safe.)

Battery power...and buy an extra battery. 4-4.5 hours worth of juice. And you can always get an external charger to charge one while the other is in use and I am sure you can find some place in a restaurant to plug in the charger.

Mail a copy of your spreadsheets to the restaurant ahead of time - then you'll be covered in case your dream comes true.
