Millwood would be the safest bet here. ;-D

don't like any of them for this year. Kazmir for the future.

But I would gamble with Milwood

Might be better off with a good MR at that point unless it is a keeper in which cas eyou grab Kazmir.

milwood, kaz, or hampton

Postby Eightan » Tue Mar 15, 2005 1:50 am

i like kaz, but i think he isn't refined enough to pick yet... maybe next year. as for milwood, well his spring has been rough, but he should get straigtened out, after all, halladay has also had a crappy spring so far... and hampton... well i just don't like him, can't explain it.

Hampton was a shaky WHIP pitcher before he went to Coors...Coors messed him up and while he is a lot better now, he is still not very good, imo. Like I said, none of these options look very good for this year.

Millwood I like. Just been unlucky/hurt the past two years. He's easily the best of this group.

Kazmir's probably a year away, but he will get Ks. Not bad to have on the bench.

Hampton had 87 K and 65 BB in 172.1 IP. That's really all I need to know. He shouldn't even be rostered in most leagues.

Stop bashing Hampton, check out his 2nd Half numbers. Just watch out this year. Those of you who don't draft him will be sorry, he'll put up Chris Carpenter numbers, with a lot less K's.

202 IP 16 W, 3.39 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 105 K

Third year under Leo, watch him put his first half together. Check out his 2nd half splits the last two years. Downright filthy down the stretch last year, only one who remembered to actually pitch in the playoffs.

Well shoot, ya sold me! :-b

Actually I'm avoiding him. He'll single-handedly destroy your team's WHIP and won't help in any category.

In the 22nd Round, who else are you going to grab?

One thing I've learned is to never doubt Leo.
