Is it safe to drop Dempster for Borowski at this point?

I know a lot of people are of the opinion that the job is Borowski's, and if that were confirmed I'm sure he'd be a good pickup/draft pick. But what do you base that on? I've seen no news on him lately other than the 88 mph incident. Is there more to support this notion? Have you seen any updates on his arm strength/general health? Where would you draft Borowski in a 12 team league?

I'd still draft Borowski near the end (after all the crappy closers with a job like Baez, Adams, and Aquino) but I wouldn't touch Dempster at all. I don't think he has a chance at being closer.

As for Borowski's strength, I've read articles about it and he's not at 90 yet but it's early in ST and most pitchers aren't up to full strength yet. And in 2003 I believe he was only hitting 91 or so with his heater. So he doesn't rely on high 90's stuff, and is on track to take over the closer role and run with it. I still believe Hawkins is the best option but isn't getting a shot because 1) Dusty is an idiot and 2) they have to appease the fans. If Borowski sucks, nobody cares. If Hawkins sucks it's, "I told you so".
