This might be a dumb question since I think it might be obvious that John Thomson is better than Cliff Lee, but I kinda like Lee for some reason. Anyway, which would you prefer for a 5th starter. Thanks for any help.

yea i could see how some would see this as a dumb question, but im also a cliff lee fan and a previous owner. i think hes the real deal, he just threw to many innings in a short period of time last year. so one vote for lee.

I'd take a chance on Lee.

I do not see how it is even close, but then again who knows. Thomson looks like a pretty good option for a fantasy 5 or 6. Cliff Lee really has not shown much outside of a couple of months. Who is to say he is going to this year? Thomson is in Atlanta which is a lot more pitcher friendly than the Jake....in the NL facing pitchers instead of DHs....has Mazzone for whatever that can be worth.
Lee had a conditioning program, but that does not necessarily mean much (unless he was training with Balco Barry...lol).
