beckett

beckett is a better player piching on a worse team which makes it closer than it should be but i still like beckett. He is a good strikeout pitcher, he has a tremendous upside also, go for beckett in a heartbeat

Beckett is a better option than Ortiz. Ortiz could conceivably win more games than Beckett because he's on a better team, but Beckett is averaging like 10 K/9 innings and should be good for 12-15 wins, 200+ Ks and an ERA in the high 3 range. The only downside to him is that he can be a bit of a WHIP drain.
