Anyone else noticing the spring that he is having? I understand that it doesnt mean much in March, but what are some words on this guy? He never really intruiged me in the past, except at the start of last year, I think it was last year, when he just blew up for about a month.

He's a very streaky player. Put that together with a good hitter's park in Texas and he should be awesome to have in your lineup at times and yet easy to bench at times due to slumps. Should hit around 90/30/90 but the batting average I have no idea. Could be anywhere from .260 to .300

I like him as a sleeper-type pick - I grabbed him in both my leagues
Hitting in Arlington ( a big part of why I think he is a very heavy sleeper) can only benefit his numbers

I agree, I think he could be very good this season. Hitting in Texas in such a good lineup is going to do wonders for him. He's obviously a streaky player but he could hit 100/35/100 in that lineup. Great for where you can grab him.

what are his spring numbers?
7/17 = .412

21 total bases
SLG = 1.235
Not much data to work with, but what he has done is worth mentioning.

what are his spring numbers?
From CBS-Richard Hidalgo was 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI in Sunday's spring game against the Mariners.
(Updated 03/14/2005).
FANTASY ANALYSIS
Hidalgo has four home runs and seven RBI so far this spring. He is a solid No. 3 or 4 Fantasy outfielder on Draft Day
I grabbed him in round 18 to cover for Berkman till he returns. He might be the best sleeper OF'er, in that park and that lineup around him he could have a solid #2 OF'er stats while coming at the price of a 4th OF'er.
