How come these guys aren't getting much respect come draft day???
Garcia was 9-4 with a 4.46 ERA and 102 K in 103 IP after joining the White Sox. Yet he's being taken well near the end of every draft if at all. (interestingly, he had a 2.43 ERA in day games and 4.46 at night with Sea and the Sox combined last year).
And El Duque was 8-2, with a 3.30 ERA and had 84 K in 84 IP with the Yankees last year (plus he limited righthanded hitters to a .194 Avg). And he's not being drafted at all and no one seems to wanna grab him off the WW either (except me in 2 leagues - am I alone in thinking he might have another good year???).
What's your opinion on these 2????

Shhhhhhhhhh! I'm drafting El Duque in late rounds on most of my teams. Gotta love that K/IP ratio. Not gonna win the Cy Young or anything, but a definite late round value pick.

I would get Garcia, but I don't see much need for El Duque.
He is right in there with Lima, Arroyo, Suppan, Trachsel, Milton and the other SP that don't quite cut it in a 12 team league. If he gets hot pick him up, but I wouldn't use your pick/waiver wire priority on him, as he almost certainly will be in the FA list.

I realized I didn't give you any reasons. He is 2 years removed from major surgery and is 35 (or so he says). 35 is not the best time to rebound from surgery, and he only pitched 80 innings. I feel that if he won't get above 150 without an injury, or having some bad stats

Exactly. There are better pitchers that you can get that don't play at Coors light.
