Well, how you got Pujols with the number 5 pick I can't figure out. What you need to do is get rid of Figgins. Not sure why you drafted him in the sixth round because he is pretty worthless. You also should try and get rid of Preston Wilson, he is too injury prone. You're pitching is decent, very good for Saves. I think you can contend in your league for sure.
How many teams in your league? If it's a ten team league, you're looking pretty damn solid. If it's an eight team league, I'm never a good judge, as I've never played in an eight team league.

so what do you guys think of that guys team, is it pretty good or just alot of big name guys that used to produce great numbers. also do you see any possible trades there that i can offer to improve my team, thanks!
I wouldn't give the trophy to the other guy just yet. His RP is awful (Kolb guaranteed to blow up) and I am not thrilled with his SP depth, either. He also has almost no speed, with the exception of Podsednick's .245 average.
You can use help with hitting. Big risks with Wilson and Anderson. If they are both healthy, might be okay. Your IF is a little weak, imo (ex, Pujols, of course).
As to the trade offer, I would do it. Giles is 34 and plays in a park that severely depresses lefties #. Teixeira (sp?) is almost a lock for 40 hr. Might also see what kind of interest you can generate in something more solid for the IF, and see if you can get a SP thrown in as Prior-insurance.
First off you took Varitek too early, I don't care if there was a catcher run going on etc, he isn't worth a 4th round pick. Figgens in the 6th is a stretch as well but with his positional eligibility its excusable, he can be useful.
Wilson is fine for your team, if he sucks or gets hurt you'll be able to find someone passable on the FA list I'm sure. I think your team is going to be a bit weak on HR and RBI. Not so much that you lose them every week but its going to be an issue.
For pitching you are pretty weak for starters, especially if Prior's injury is bad. Your closers look great though.
As for the trade offer, I personally would take vlad and teix for pujols and giles in a second, that would be an upgrade to your team. I would doubt the owner would take that trade though.
I like your team, for the most part, but you need to do some major trading.
First off, do not trade Pujols for any reason whatsoever!
Unless you see Tejada or Rodriguez offered.. don't even think about it.
Pujols is tops at 1st, but there's much more of a drop off between 1st and second SS or 3B than at 1B.
Pujols, then Helton. Not so big
A-rod then Rolen. Rolen had a good year, but A-rod had a down year and still had 36 homers and over 100 runs batted in... with 28 steals!
And the difference between Tejada and Nomar/Young/Jeter is huge. 30 something home runs and 125 rbis in that deadly Orioles lineup wouldn't be a strech.
Position scarcity. Pujols and Vlad will put up better numbers, but you can't cram them into shortstop
Yeah.. this "fantasy guru" thing is just a user name, folks.
That being said, I don't think Figgins will hurt you, as long as he is playing every day. I think the Angels will find a place for him each day. You have a few question marks with Wright (young) and Wilson (injuries), but every team has a question mark or two going into the season. I agree with the earlier post that you don't need Tavarez. All in all, not a bad team....you should do pretty well.
