13 team roto league

Postby papagiorgio01 » Mon Mar 14, 2005 1:56 pm

My roster:
C Joe Mauer
1B Todd Helton
2B Ray Durham
3B Mike Lowell
SS Kaz Matsui
OF Corey Patterson
OF Adam Dunn
OF Randy Winn
Util Pedro Feliz
Util Milton Bradley
SP Jason Schmidt
SP Ben Sheets
SP Livan Hernandez
SP Vicente Padilla
SP Bronson Arroyo
RP Brad Lidge
RP Braden Looper
Bench Brain Roberts, Jaque Jones, BJ Upton, Scott Kazmir & Jerome Williams

input?

my one worry is the SS position. Both Matsui and Feliz are eligable, but may loose eligability because they wont be playing there during the season.

Check your league rules. Most leagues let the players keep their eligibility from the year before as long as they played about 20 games in that position.

You should be fine with Matsui at least.

In a thirteen team league, I'd say you have a pretty solid squad.

You're pretty lacking in speed other than Matsui, so you should figure out the eligibility rules quick!

Not bad for a 13 teamer. As noseeum said, usually eligibility rules only give players additional eligibilities, not take them away, so I would think Matsui and Feliz should remain SS eligible.

Other than that, looks decent. If Matsui lives up to his hype from last year, he and Patterson should keep you competitive in steals, but if he doesn't, you're going to need some more speed. I might look to add someone just as insurance anyway. Pitching is very good, especially for a 13 teamer.

I think I'll be ok in speed because of Durham. I know he's been hurt, but I've also been watching him very closely in spring training and he seems totally healthy. Word is he had a new offseason training regimen and the Giants had someone watching over him.

nice work; A lot of depth. Maybe trade a 5 tooler in the OF (Jones or Bradley or Winn) for a guy with a little more pop at UTIL?
