Ok Slash is an incredible musician and if you deny that then you don't know what you are talking about. Dave Grohl is also and incredible musician...

Axl is a decent musician and duff and izzy are good musicians...so i can see how you aren't to impressed with them..

but Slash and Dave are both really good musicians...

I think GNR is better but I do like Nirvana alot too... I'd say the two best bands were Radiohead and TOOL though

Good point, Arlo, although I actually did like most of that soundtrack. One of my personal favs.

Very much agreed; it's definitely a classic (and I admit to popping it in the cd player thanks to this thread ). Good stuff from top to bottom.

Although come to think of it, it did lead to some frustration for me... finding that Lovemongers album was hard!

How many people here have actually found themselves singing along to Smells Like Teen Spirit without actually knowing the lyrics? And then somebody asks you what you are saying and you get all embarrassed because you were just mumbling along with Cobain?

I admit to buying Appetite for Destruction but I think that I only played it once. Does anyone remember where GNR got their big break? I remember first hearing Welcom to the Jungle in the Eastwood movie The Dead Pool - that song made the movie.

Haha, this is very true...due to the Seraph survivor competition I learned the lyrics, but up until then I was pretty clueless on every word in the song except the last part of the chorus and the last phrase of the verses.

I think that GNR got their big break playing the Roxy in LA...something like that...Axel was in LA GUNS too right? or was it slash?
