He may have sucess this year, but I don't think he'll have a 30+ saves year in 2005. He will come close to 30 but I feel that is about it.

wouldn't call $300,000/yr a boatload of money. well, for ballplayers at least
When he says 'boatload' he includes the signing bonus that the Expos gave Cordero less than two years ago. They invested a first round pick, and, I assume, a signing bonus upwards of a million, which is quite a bit for a guy who you leave in middle relief... But for a 'closer' it ain't that bad. (no I don't think the title should be as special as it is made out to be, but that's the way the game is today)

Robinson is a moron, but realistically, why would he committee this if Cordero is getting the job done? There is little to be gained by switching/sharing the duties at closer unless Cordero is just too fragile or just no good.
I can't think of a single committee approach that was implemented when one of th RPs was doing a respectable job. Usually it is because the guy with the job is stinking it up and the manager gets tired of it. If COrdero is pulling a Speier/Frasor or Rhodes then he is not going to be worth much anyway.
