I'd prefer Adams.

Affeldt is already under an injury cloud this season and in all three previous seasons in the majors, has missed time due to various ailments.

I'd rather have Adams also, although both should provide solid value compared to where they are drafted...

Adams should be really solid this year. Give you decent saves and wont hurt you anywhere.

Adams. All signs indicate he will be a solid closer for fantasy purposes and be in the Looper class. Affeldt plays for what is probably the worst team in MLB and will not get a lot of save opportunities. Add the fact that he is injury prone and can damage your ERA and it does not make him as attractive a pick. He has some upside no doubt, but he is a low tier closer, IMO. I thinK Adams is closer to a mid-tier one assuming he can handle the job mentally.

I heard on the radio today that Affeldt got hurt this weekend and may miss some time during camp, but should be around for opening day/
