I don't believe so. The hype machine is starting to roll just like it did for Kaz. Kaz was a better player in Japan than this guy was. Flier-worthy maybe but I wouldn't want to count on him as my starting 2B in a 12-teamer. We just have too little information to go on.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Damn, I just drafted Uribe as my 2B. Not good news for me. Still, who knows how long Tadahito will hold that 2nd spot. He could be a solid player or he could be another Japanese import who doesn't live up to the hype.
