MVP Baseball 2005, PS2 question

Just brought home my second one, and when I go into "game mode" the screen looks good and everything appears ready to go but I cannot pitch or swing. The home run derby mode works but none of the game modes do. I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong since this is the second disc I have tried. All my other games work fine so I don't think it's my PS2. Any help is much appreciated!

you can eliminate this problem by simply returning that junk EA title and pick up a copy of 2k5

i have it on X-BOX and it rocks

P.S. i like how EA has had to lower their price to $29.99 finally you get a little kiss for they ram you with the junk they have put out scince after the sega genesis days

EA is awesome..As for 2k5 i haven't played it but I heard online is a joke...I play it for PC though
