Am I asking for injury trouble or what?

Postby Berge20 » Sat Mar 12, 2005 5:32 pm

12 Team Yahoo H2H 6x6 (OBP and Holds)

I'm thinking in hind sight that I am simply asking for injuries to kill me. High risk, high reward maybe?

Any thoughts are welcome.

It will be interesting to see what happens. You'll need to play Freel and/or Sanchez to p/u SBs depending on who you're playing. You should get a couple of wins/week with your starters, and if Pettitte goes on the DL you'll be able to pick up a 5th starter someplace. Remember Bonds doesn't play many day games after night games, so you'll have to juggle your lineup daily.

You have relief pitching galore, which is nice, but your starters worry me...Pettitte and Eaton are both pretty big question marks, and I wouldn't want them sitting as my 3rd and 4th starters. (I'm assuming you mislabeled Smoltz as a RP, since he's starting this year..) You should be good for saves and very well off in the holds departement. I think you've got a pretty strong offense, but tis a little short on speed. Sanchez could provide alot of speed, but thats if he keeps his starting position in the tigers lineup...and if you can find a way to work him into your lineup...

You do have a lot of injury prone players on that roster, which could create a problem. But if they all stay healthy you could have a very good line up. The thing that I would be worried about, though, is the fact that you are carrying four position players on your bench but only one pitcher.

Yeh, I realize Smoltz is the starter again. Yahoo just doesnt have him as such.

Thanks for the replies.
