I have a question: Will Rick Ankiel have both pitching and hitting eligibility if he plays in the majors this year?

they only take away position eligibility in the offseason.

HOWEVER, I can see a situation in which there might be a problem. As I understand it, yahoo allows a player to be eligible at at most five positions. What happens if a player gets 15 games at a sixth position?
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

He probably won't be on the roster. But Yahoo hasn't given Brooks Kieschnick hitting eligibility even though he pinch-hits nearly as often as he pitches.

Or more likely, five games under the new Yahoo eligibility rules.

Even if they gave Ankiel dual eligibility, and he miraculously made the team, AND actually got to play once in a while...you still wouldn't get offensive points for him if you started him in the pitching slot. Unlike FFB, you don't get points earned "on the other side of the ball" as it were. I remember when D-Train started last year batting a thousand for 7 or so at bats, including a homer - and no points for his disgruntled owner.

But boy was it sweet when Vinateri got me that touchdown in FFB this year.
