New Keeper League Tips/Draft help appreciated

I just am dipping my foot into the keeper waters. I am actually the commisioner as well. I need some thoughts on what say, the first 25 picks usually are, and some in-season tips to think about, perhaps some thoughs on how to manage "dump trades".

The rules are going to be very simple -- 3 keepers plus a "bonus" keeper. The bonus can only be a guy acquired by free agency, and you only get that player for one year. You can elect to only keep one plyer (or two) and get draft picks back.

Any thoughts, rankings would be a big, big help.

Seems to me you might be violating your "keep it simple" rule by having that "bonus" keeper.
If I were you, I really would keep it simple for the first year.....just have 3 keepers, period.

As far as dealing with "dump trades" go, my advice is don't deal with them...just let them happen. IMO dump trades are part of what keeper leagues are all about.. Personally, I play every year to win, but when I know that's not going to happen, I don't have a problem with playing/trading for next year.
