I am currently in MLB’s Basic Fantasy Baseball. Here are the rules.
In Basic Salary Cap Baseball Season 1, you're the General Manager of your very own baseball team! We give you 30,000,000 Dollars (TSND) to draft 8 players (3 pitchers and 5 hitters) who will score points for you based on how they play in real-life baseball games.
As GM, you use your 30,000,000 TSND salary cap to build the best baseball team you can afford. While they're on your team, your players score Points (TSNP) towards your season-long total by playing in real-life games. If one of your players is in a bad slump, or if he gets hurt, you can cut him and pick up another player to join your team, provided you can afford him. Manage your team wisely, though - you have a limited amount of moves you can make.
Basic Salary Cap Baseball Season 1 also features a dynamic player price market - the only one of its kind. Every day during the season (except for the All-Star Break), players salaries are updated, rising or falling based on the trading activity by YOU, the GMs. Just like the stock market, you can increase your purchasing power by buying low and selling high. It's addictive, but don't worry - you can't lose your shirt.
Here is my team:
P Pedro Martinez (6.22)
P Andy Pettitte (3.81)
P Joe Blanton (1.53)
C John Buck (1.95)
3B/1B A-Rod (7.48)
SS/2B Bobby Crosby (3.46)
OF Richard Hidalgo 3.73
OF Rubin Sierra (0.57)
Remaining funds :1,820,000
I am thinking about getting rid of Pedro and getting Lidge 5,650,000. This way, I could get some more money and get rid of Sierra for someone better. The other possibilty to to release Richard Hildago (and some REAL cheap) and cut Blanton for Lidge.
Heck, I need some help.
Thank you
