Batista was an average starter with a few good years, 6 career saves in 1100 IP and a career 5.5 k/9. He's no Eck or Smoltz.
Plus what the Jays say and what they do are two different things.
The Brewers closer has a better chance of lasting the season than the Jays
manager forget about the Jays closer. I would be floored if Batista got over 20 saves this year.
This puts Batista in the same range as Aquino and maybe a little behind Affeldt. Adams is above Batista for sure.
