Yeah, thanks all...I just dumped Hasegawa (super late round pick that I don't think was very good) for Batista. I already have Nathan, Percival, and Hoffman...but another closer can't hurt if people are looking for trades. ;-D

F Rodriguez
B Wagner
E Guardardo
J Borowski
M Batista

ALL ON MY TEAM. Now I have that insurance in case E Guardardo flops or dostn recover from injury

No freakin way.

Batista was an average starter with a few good years, 6 career saves in 1100 IP and a career 5.5 k/9. He's no Eck or Smoltz.

Plus what the Jays say and what they do are two different things.

The Brewers closer has a better chance of lasting the season than the Jays manager forget about the Jays closer. I would be floored if Batista got over 20 saves this year.

This puts Batista in the same range as Aquino and maybe a little behind Affeldt. Adams is above Batista for sure.

Mook, not to make any unfair comparisons... But so was Gagne.

(Don't take this as saying that Batista = Gagne. It's just that some guy's stuff are better in the pen than others. Maybe Batista's that kind of guy.)

I've got furcal at SS and orlando Cabrera on my bench, the closers I have are Lidge,F. Cordero, Percival, and Affeldt. Should I drop Orlando to pick up Miguel?

Actually, now that I think about it....

Ricciardi's a Beane disciple. Batista gives up a lot of walks without K'ing too many, and saves are inflated in value among MLB GM's.

Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking?
