Anyone seen the trailer for the new BNB flick? If not, follow this link:

Dunno if this flick is gonna work, as the original IMO set the bar very high. Gotta love Billy Bob in the trailer though. Looks like it's "Bad Santa Coaches A Little League Team", which I dig as I though Bad Santa was hilarious.....

I give 2 middle fingers up to Hollywood and their endless stream of crappy remakes and sequels.

It's a shame they haven't worked on a DVD for Bad News Bears. Now Matthau is gone. I hope they get on the ball while Tatum and the gang are still around.
I just watched it again recently and I didn't realize psycho little league parents were an issue back then.

Agreed. A BNB Special-Ultra-Reunion type DVD with a boatload of extras would be huge. I'd gladly pay $20-30 for it.
I dig Thornton. I dig Linklater. But that trailer makes me smell crappy remake as well.
Hopefully we're all wrong and it works though.....

Slightly off-topic, but related to remakes, I just saw on IMDB that a remake of Logan's Run is "in production", but very little information is listed about the project.
To me that is a movie that has the potential for a good updated remake. It was a great novel, made into a decent 70s-ish sci-fi flick. Worth checking out the original, and very intriguing to be a potenial remake.

I like Billy Bob, so I hope this will be decent.
I am getting sick of remakes though, I know Hollywood has no original ideas, but can't they at least pretend that they are trying.
My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.
