I am in the later parts of my keeper league draft, and need help on who to take. Just really filling out my roster, so i am looking at the best available to take a chance on. Here are some of the better players still available:
Hitters: Orlando Hudson, Jose Valentin, Christian Guzman, Todd Walker, Ryan Klesko, Termell Sledge, Joe Randa, Josh Phelps, Kenny Lofton, Brady Clark, Adrian Gonzalez, Adam Laroche, JD Closser.
Pitchers: Jarrod Washburn, Sidney Ponson, Carlos Silva, Dan Meyer, Ryan Drese, Orlando Hernandez, Kip Wells, Jeff Francis, Jose Capellan, Brandon Backe, Dewon Brazelton, Tony Armas, Gavin Floyd and Jesse Foppert.
Anyone that stands out that i should go with in my next pick? I am thinking Hudson, but I want some other opinions. Thanks for any help!
Well, I don't know your team but I'd say Laroche or Klesko (for some reason I'm picking him comeback player of the year), but this a keeper league u may wanna take a one of the young guns Floyd or Francis.
I think it being a Keeper League is irrelevant. You wouldn't keep any of those guys next year anyway would you?
Todd Walker would be your best hitting option. Good average, decent enough power, favourable hitting park.
Depending on your needs another decnet option could be Kenny Lofton. I know he gets no love from most of you guys but if he does hit second in that lineup, he's going to help you more than hurt you, with 500 odd AB's.
If you want to go the pitcher way, Jarrod Washburn, Kip Wells and Tony Armas are the only pitchers I would consider.
