Will this team compete?

12-team, 5x5 ML Roto league. I had the 4th pick. I've included my projections for each player. I think I have a good all around team, but I might be lacking a bit in BA. My starters aren't so great in terms of K's, but I'm hoping K-Rod and Ryan pick up the slack. Overall I'm happy with my draft and I'm hoping that I can package one of my closers with an OF for an upgrade in the OF. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

You look pretty solid all around with the exception of not having an Ace pitcher. I would try to deal one of your outfielders in an attempt to get a better catcher as well, I'm not really set on Lieberthal at all. Go for a good average hitting catcher like Kendall - he should be easy to get. Hang on to Hidalgo I see him having a bounce back year. And I would try to deal BJ Ryan for a better closer if possible I think he will lose the spot to Julio.

Try to deal Russ Ortiz and Mike Cameron. They seem to have the most downside.

Just to respond to those last two comments. I think Oswalt is as close to an ace as they come. I agree on the Lieberthal comment, but catchers always pop up on the waiver wire and I'm not willing to give up anything significant for a slight upgrade. Ryan seems to have the closer job nailed down and he was great as a setup man last year...I'm hoping he turns into a poor man's Lidge. I agree with you on Ortiz but starters are always easy to grab off the waiver wire. As for Cameron, I see him putting up nice numbers in an improved Mets lineup....I think he's a legitimate 25-20 candidate. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Offense looks sharp. Good balance. Good pick of OF seeing that you have to have 5. Bullpen is above average. I'd be quick to jump ship with Closser and Lowry, especially for a hot OF or young P.

Some of your projected stats were a little liberal, but that can be expected...that's what fantasy is all about...hope

I actually forgot to mention that....If anyone thinks I'm way off in any of my projections, let me know. I realize I projected a few players a bit high, but the reason I picked them is because I though they would do well.
