I'm thinking of trading away Rolen while he's high now, but an unsure if Blalock can keep it up?

Does anyone have anythoughts?

Clearly, but do you think Blalock will continue to play well? I don't expect him to stay at this pace, but a top eight 3b, perhaps?

I was not trying to be a smart ass with that response, but I don't think any player is untouchable if you have a legitimate back up. I would say that Blalock is legit. Don't know if that helps. Don't know if this will help either, but I traded Rolen, Julio, and Damon earlier in the year for Aramis Ramirez, Wagner and Beltran. I had Batista backing up Rolen.

OK... that makes sense.

I just have this bad feeling about Blalock. But he is hitting in that lineup, so he should do ok...

Any other thoughts?

If you look closely at his stat breakdowns, he hits .400 plus against righties and .200 against lefties. Thus, he has been sitting against lefties some. But it looks like Teixiera is gonna go back to AAA and he may regain the lefty AB's. So...his AVG will probably go down, with other stats increasing somewhat. That being said, he's still a young stud (I've got him). However, Hubert Perry is waiting in the rehab wings......

Is he starter worthy?
I know he sits against lefties but considering how shallow 3b is, is it bad to be dependant on him as your starter?
