While I'm commiserating about yahoo public trade collusion here
http://fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=101663, I'm reminded of my ridiculous Yahoo "Winner's" league where my competitors have already dropped Renteria and Bret Boone. After looking long and hard at which teams are doing this and when, I don't think there is anything fishy going on. It's just widespread stupidity. I mean, for heaven's sake, Boone-dropper, who had already dropped Durham, was left with an empty 2B until today he picked up...drumroll...Ginter. These "winners" all deserve medals. Like the Special Olympics.
And I'm sore that my low waiver priority made me unable to take advantage of it.

How do you get into one of these "Winners Leagues"?

When you go to register for a public league it's one of the options you can pick (under casual/competitive/winner)

A large percentage of "winners" are probably dead teams from the previous year who just got lucky enough to win in a league that had nothing but dead teams.

yahoo public leagues are good only for mock drafting. but seriously, theres no reason to whine about a free service that yahoo hands out.
