pavano has much better stuff. lieber represents better value, but if i had a choice, id take pavano. He's a lock for at least 15 wins barring an ankiel-like implosion

We seem to be arguing over who is the better value when the question was who is better, ie who to pick with both available, which is not even close. Pavano all the way, though Lieber will be better value.

IMO that is a bad sign for a pitcher that will play half his games in what will soon become recognised as the second best hitters park in the majors.

I wouldn't rate Lieber anywhere near Pavano.

Although Pavano should regress somewhat in New York, he's still a very good choice as a 3rd starter and good value if you can get him outside of the Top 100 players.

word! :-D

All things equal, I take Lieber.

More wins, better ERA, better WHIP, fewer K's. Yankees should of kept him over Pavano or Wright.

I think Pavano has better stuff, but when you consider that you could take Lieber 7-9 rounds later...I'd take that. I have seen pavano go before Colon, and I would MUCH rather take Colon and then get Lieber later.
