With none out in the sixth and the bases loaded, Calvin Pickering hit the ball an estimated 385 feet over the left-center field fence. Pickering, however, passed Justin Huber, who was tagging up at first base.
How in the world do you get passed by a guy who weighs like 400 pounds!?!?!?!
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
If you read Pena's explanation, the other part of this story is why in the hell he's teaching the Royal baserunners to retreat ot first on a long drive. We teach kids in little league to go halfway, as does every other high school, college, minor, and major league team. But, old Tony knows better than any of us.
The postive not out of it is that Pickering wasn't in a home run trot..at least he was running hard. The baserunner and coach have to be watching too...I blame them as much as Calvin.

I agree. 385 feet isn't exactly a tape measure shot that requires watching it.
