While I like Ortiz a little better this year, I'm gonna say it's close enough that Teixiera's upside wins out in a keeper.

And in a redraft league. Tex will be a monster this year. I'm predicting that he passes Helton for the #2 firstbaseman slot behind Pujols this year, and will be a consensus first round pick next year.

I don't see why not Ortiz in a keeper....he'll probably put up better numbers this year and he's only 29, so it's not like your getting someone past their prime for the keeper part....Tex is a great choice and extremely close but I have Ortiz a little ahead.

I like Teix a lot too. I did not get him but have one more draft to go...I think he's very good. I had him last year though and he did have some annoying injuries, nothing major but sore stuff that kept him out for very short periods of time. I will still take him if I can get him though. Ortiz is a good fallback though. :-D
