Kerry Wood had an MRI on his right shoulder and has been sent back to Chicago for an examination.
The Cubs are already prepared for him to miss one start. ''After what happened last year, this is just precautionary,'' manager Dusty Baker said. ''It was just a matter of him going back and seeing our team doctor. Right now, it's nothing. We just decided to do this for a precautionary sake.'' The more they say, the less we believe it's nothing.

Let's hope this is just a precaution. I can't wait to hear that it's nothing serious.

its one thing to leave the game early or have an mri but the fact that they are sending him back to chicago to meet with the doctor would have me a little worried if i owned him.

I'm thinking it's not. I'm going to believe the press here for the time being. I think he will only miss a start, and will be fine for the season, however, I wouldn't be suprised to see him on the DL this year.
