Whats the situation at 3B

I know that the Reds signed Joe Randa. Who is supposed to be the 3rd baseman of the future?

It should be Randa's job this year. The 3B of the future is Edwin Encarnacion. 22 years old and will probably start in AAA but he will be in Cincinnati next year if not before

says Randa is fitting right in with the rest of the Reds. He's not starting out like a house afire in spring training (a single and a double in 9 AB, plus 2 HBP), but he's considered pretty much a lock to start in 2005. Edwin Encarnacion is considered the Reds' top offensive prospect, but most think he will spend most of 2005 in AAA. Encarnacion is opening some eyes, though (6-for-17 with 5 runs scored and 1 stolen base). This is a great article about him:
