I'm trying to grasp the value of Bret Boone, seeing that I got him yesterday for Wade Miller. I'm really happy with that deal, but I'm trying to think if I should swing him for Vidro, if that's possible. Any projections or thoughts on this guy? His numbers the past 2 years have been mighty good for a 2B

He's probably in the top 8 or so second baseman, about at the same level as Alomar, Castillo or Aaron Boone. Vidro is probably the best 2B aside from Soriano and Kent, so if someone is dumb enough to trade Vidro for Boone, jump on it.
Wow, you guys are really down on him, aside from Meat. I'm almost depressed to have him, LoL. I was thinking he was up there with Kent and Vidro. You got him being compared to crappy Alomar.

No. Him and Alomar aren't even on the same planet. There is huge drop from Soriono to B. Boone, but he is still a top tier 2nd baseman. If he's your 2nd baseman, consider yourself lucky.
Vidro's got him in average by a bit, but Boone will have him in those other categories.
Am I wrong in this projection?

i'd much rather have boone than vidro... boone gets you a handful of steals and he hits in the middle of a nice seattle lineup (once ichiro rebounds, watch boone's rbi totals increase). nothing to worry about with boone, he gets underrated every year.
I believe Boone struggled last year and still came out with good numbers. So far he is great. 2001 was probably a career year but I would say right after Soriano, Kent is Boone. Then Vidro.
