Rotiserie, 12-team, re-draft

Stat Cats:
Hitting: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG, OBP,
Pitching: W, CG, SHO, SV, ER, BB, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP

Positions:
Hitting: C, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, IF, IF, LF, CF, RF, OF, OF, Util
Pitching: SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, RP, P, P (2000 IP limit)
Bench: BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, DL

I drafted 6th...

C1: Lieberthal
C2: Closser
1B: Morneau
2B: Jimenez
3B: Beltre
SS: Renteria
IF1: Figgins (2B,3B,SS,CF,OF)
IF2: Overbay
LF: Dunn (1B)
CF: Beltran
RF: Sheffield
OF1: B.Giles (RF)
OF2: DeJesus (CF)
DH: Mi. Sweeney
Bench: Burke (quals @ IF only...for now), Lofton (CF,RF)

SP: Schilling, Pineiro, Millwood, M.Morris
MR: Otsuka, Linebrink
CL: Wagner, Hoffman, Affeldt, B.J.Ryan, M.Adams, Valverde
(3 P always on bench)

aside from Schilling, all my SP were grabbed fairly late (shows..doesn't it?)
Seemed that all 2nd/3rd tier SP were being grabbed too early...so I waited (maybe sometimes too long) and grabbed closers instead.

I've got my eye on some starters on the WW and may drop Valverde for one of them.

I've never done a rotiserie with so many starters before...how does my team look? comments?

Well, Morris is starting the season on the DL, so you definitely need to pick up another SP.

Rather than dropping players, what about packaging two of your lower-tier closers for a better SP. That would also give you an extra spot to pick up an SP off waivers. And with you having 6 on your team, someone must be desperately short somewhere!

I'd also look for someone better than Jimenez at 2B

Decent offensive, but for pitching aquire a secondary starter. Somebody like a Perez (oliver), harden, or peavy.

U have way too many closers. Package to crappy ones for a decent starter.

thanks for the replies.

Yeah...don't plan on keeping all the closers. Figuring to trade for a SP soon. Lookin' at maybe a Wagner or Hoffman for Ol. Perez

I figure Jimenez is temporary...but really don't think he's that terrible (he's a better points player than a 5x5 player). He's one of those guys that doesn't have negative value IMO (until he proves me wrong that is). Once Burke quals at 2B...I figure he'll go there. If I have to, I can throw Figgins in there and plug someone else in the IF position. Not a big worry. It'll shake out.
