No, not officially but he is at the top of the list. The other one to watch for is Robert Person. He is just coming back from AAA assignment and there is talk about putting him directly into the closer role. But as a whole the team is so undecided about that position, it literally could be any of those guys......

I'd keep lyon and pick up person while he's still on the DL. If your league allows, then put him in on the DL and pick up a stop gap i.e. a hot hitter or a strike out starter going against milwauki. Then watch the two and see which one is the closer flavor of the day.

I'll believe it when I see it. Right now I don't believe anything about the sox closer situation until I see it. I watch every Red Sox game from beginning to end so I feel qualified to make that assesment.
