This is true. The first time I watched it I was completely confused, felt like I missed the point. After being goaded into giving it another shot, I was amused as hell the entire way through. Very few parts made me laugh out loud, but the entire time I had a smile on my face.

I know what you mean about thinking it's funny later too. When I was watching it the first time I thought "this stuff is pretty stupid", but afterwards I was quoting the dialogue like you do with great movies. :-D

As for the movie, when I first watched it I thought it was ok, didn't really see all the hype. Although after hearing quotes all the time and watching it a second time I thought it was pretty damn funny ;-D

I thought it was okay.

I saw it a week ago (I know, I'm late on it), and I think some parts were funny. I also thought it was pointless.. but it's just me though.

Definetely the part I thought was funny as "Tina, you fat lard, come eat dinner" or so.. and "Vote for Pedro" and the dance.. that was good.
