arlo, thanks for the advice re:santana...think i'll hold on to him. but now i'm wondering if big mo is taking up space on my bench. haven't started him in a couple weeks.

any new york peeps out there with a scoop on when this "new and improved" mo is supposed to show? when i heard he'd lost all that weight and was healthy and rarin' to go, i jumped on him.

how patient should i be? would it dumb to drop him for, i don't know, orlando hudson or mike young?

Unless you're dropping him for a) another slow 1B starter like a Konerko whom someone else may have given up on, or b) someone to fill a hole that's killing you, I'd stand pat (if you're only options are a Mike Young, etc)....that said, Mo is certainly not "new and improved" and some Mets' fans I know say he looks even fatter than last year, if that's possible. without seeing what your team really needs it's tought to say if you should drop fat Mo, but he did go yard recently so maybe he's getting a bit hotter.....? But if you already have e.g. Bagwell, Helton, Delgado at 1B and need to fill a hole somewhere else, it might be worth dropping the slug....

thanks for getting back to me. actually, i think i need another starter, and i'm considering dropping fat mo for brandon webb, ramon ortiz or livan hernandez. i guess the two questions are this: is my pitching ok (don't bother?)? and is fat mo going to hit?
