I have 6 of my 9 starting offensive players that project at least 100 Rs, 1 over 90, and 2 over 70. How are you beating me?
The runs are bad, but its the BA projection that has me scratching my head. 6 starters hitting well over .300, 1 at .290, and 2 others at .270 at a minium. How does that come out to .290?
There's mine, comes out to .289 overall. I think I was conservative with Beltran, he could easily be at .300+ and he gets a lot of AB's.
So sure, if you go by last year's BA I'd be much lower, but we're not going by last year's. I think we'll be close in BA, R, HR, you'll have me in SV, K, RBI, and I'll have you in SB, W, ERA and WHIP.

I will say it was good to read through 3 pages of posts without a single person mentioning my team as the team to beat. Last year I seemed to be the consensus favorite after the draft, at least by posters in our draft re-cap thread, and it haunted me all year.
My team, I was trying a few new twists, taking a few new chances. I probably waited a little too long to fill my infield spots besides 1st, ending up with a Castillo, Crosby, Boone combo at 2nd, SS, 3rd.
I am a little weak in the speed department, and I would have liked to lock down one more stud pitcher to go with Oswalt, but I have 3 closers and plenty of power from which to trade. Draft day balance is overated, draft for talent, trade for balance.
It should be a good and competitive league, and I am confident a RotoGuys team will prevail once again.

LBJ, I think you have discounted Cornbread's hitter too much. You only have 2 of his guys hitting over .300.
Here's what I think the averages of each of his players will be.
Bonds: .345
Mora: .318
Loretta: .316
I-Rod: .306
Guillen (assuming Jose to lazy to go back and check which one): .286
Finley: .275
Alou: .288
Delgado: .290 (healthy second half of last year and showed what he can do)
Drew: .285
I think with these guys Corn has a chance to hit .300 as a team. Thats huge!! Plus has some decent power too, if everyone stays healthy. Just my opinion.
I actually like your projections for your guys though. Kendall's average might be low but the rest seem to be in line.
But am i seeing things?/ i swear it says carlos lee 3rd round... and he even went right before huff. Gotta be the worst pick of the draft. 3rd round??????????
I'm happy with that pick. I have Lee going...
.300, 33, 95, 100, 12
So, hes going to set a career high in home runs by moving to a tougher pitching division, and a park that isn't as good for home runs? I don't see it happening, and I'll say it wasn't a very good value pick. You should have waited, he would have lasted at least to round 4.
LBJ - do you realize you discounted the BA of each of my starters - some by .04 or more - while similarly boosting the BA of almost every one of your players?
thats pretty funny - especially since I still beat you.

The Guillen is Carlos... .280 seems low, but he's traditionally been a .270 hitter with a .310 IPAvg, and last year had a .352 IPAvg. That indicates luck (most hitters are around .300 and it's not the easiest thing to control).
Same goes with Drew... had a .342 IPAvg last year, and his norm is around .295 I believe. It might be a bit low at .270 but he's probably going to break someting before the season starts anyway

I did have a bit of a hispanic .......ez thing going early on and the first 4-5 rounds did frustrate the hell out of me, thanks to CB and mtarail.
Overall though I'm reasonably happy with the draft (especially the mid to late rounds), wouldn't want to swap teams with anyone, although there are some nice rosters out there.
This league should be a lot of fun.
