I have Lee down for:

Carlos Lee: 31 HR, 88 R, 100 RBI, 7 SB, .295 BA

That ranks him right around Ortiz and Blalock.

My numbers for Lee are what I think he is a lock to reach. I think he could have 40 HRs with 120 RBI. Last year he didnt hit a HR till late May, and still ended up with 30.

Solid player, but you drafted him too early BN. He probably would have lasted at least another rd. Its not the player, just the price you paid.

Well, if he had lasted another round I couldnt have gotten him. Being at 11th position put me in a tough spot for some guys I wanted. I knew Lee would probably last about 10 more picks, but then I wouldnt have gotten him.

I have to say this was one of the most fun and frustrating drafts I've done. Everyone was very talkative and knowledgable. Of course I'm going to win even with the 12th pick. :-D

Obviously, there will be a bias because they're my projections, but of us three (only using the first 9 hitters and 1250 IP drafted) I had the best overall R, BA, SB, W, ERA, and WHIP.

Of course everyone has thier own opinions, but I cant see how you guys can match me in Rs, BA, ERA, and WHIP - not even close in Rs and BA.

Well, I added you in. I beat you in R, ERA, and WHIP. BA you had me by a point (.290 to .289). Overall, between the 4 of us, the standings showed:

Me: 30 points
You and TF: 26.5 points (tied)
Erboes: 17 points

Again, this is just your first 9 hitters and your first 1250 IP drafted. I was the only one of the three to go over the 1250 IP, and my last 3 pitchers weren't accounted for in it.

But this is just my projections, so hopefully I'd have the best team since I was the only person to use these. Use yours, and we'll see how many points you come in first place by. Then whoever is in first place by the largest margin using their own projections has the best team :-b

I cant let it go LBJ -

I have 6 of my 9 starting offensive players that project at least 100 Rs, 1 over 90, and 2 over 70. How are you beating me?

The runs are bad, but its the BA projection that has me scratching my head. 6 starters hitting well over .300, 1 at .290, and 2 others at .270 at a minium. How does that come out to .290?

Definitely above avg Rs, good BA - top 5 easily. 2b is a huge hole - i dont consider Utley a fantasy starter at all. Womack would be a better option. Great SBs, poor power. Below avg pitching.

You probably need to deal some speed for power or pitching.

That does seem odd. If a team with Boone, Pods, and Koskie ever beat a team of mine in BA then I would hang my head in shame.

I like mtarail's squad, followed closely by corns revenge. Both seem to have drafted really well with good balance. Mtarail might be short on saves if percy goes on the dl for too long, and if joboe doesn't win the job, but every team has at least one weakness.

Anyway, it'll be a fun 6 mos, not so sure Erbs will run away with it again this year. :-)
