before the year started, he looked like a great starting option. then, my idea was to hold on to him in the probable event that one of the fragile minnesota starters would break down.
he's a tremendous K man. if he gets a chance to play regularly, he'll kick some ass. however, he seems to be mired in middle-relief duty.
am i wasting my roster spot? any input is appreciated.

Its a month in!! One of the starters will get hurt, Santana will start, and he will dominate. As a middle relief pitcher he's arguably the best there is. The minute you drop him, he will be picked up. Keep him, and you won't be sorry down the line.

thanks, man. i made up my mind late this morning that johan and i are meant to be together. there are a couple guys in that minnesota rotation that would be better in middle relief, anyway. sooner or later, that will come to light. at least, that's what i'm hoping.
