McPherson and Boone at 3rd?

Postby Jedimindtric » Sat Mar 05, 2005 1:52 am

I took both these guys with the hope that one could be my starting 3rd baseman. I got them both very late in a 12 team Roto draft which enabled me to get strong pitching(Schmidt, Halladay, Mussina, Odalis, Weaver, Penny.....) What do you think of this strategy. I figure at least one of these guys should be a top 10 this year. Any comments are appreciated.

I like the 3B picks, mainly the Aaron Boone pick I really think he'll regain form this year at the comfortable Jacobs Field, he'll be a leader in the club house too. McPherson will produce some but will K a ton as he adjusts to MLB pitching.

You really like LA's staff, huh? Word to the wise, one thing I try to stay away from is having as many as 3 SPs on the same team, slumps are contagious.

Actually I am not really all that crazy about LA's staff that is how they fell. I do like Odalis but Penny and Weaver came to me late and I couldnt pass on them at that point.

Pennys health is a ? and who knows what Weaver will do. If Penny is healthy he will be a steal.
