The first thing I noticed was where is Jason Kendall? He should be somewhere in your top 10 C I would think.

Chavez, Huff, and Blalock are too low...If you can get them after those other guys, that would be insanely great value. I think most would put them right behind Ramirez.

Bay is pretty high on your ranks as well. I think he's somewhere around 20th.

Nathan is way low on your closer list also. Most seem to think he is a top 5 closer.

Good luck with your draft. ;-D

That's interesting, I've heard Mora has the most upside. You think he's too high?

10. Michael Barrett

You need Jason Kendall in here somewhere. Near the top. He's going to a good home run ballpark to play for a team that is perfectly suited to his style of play. I'd also put Lieberthal in the top 10. Barrett has no business being on this list - neither does Estrada.

Top 20 First Basemen
1. Albert Pujols
2. Todd Helton
3. Mark Teixiera
4. David Ortiz
5. Carlos Delgado
6. Jim Thome
7. Justin Morneau

14. Sean Casey
15. Lyle Overbay
16. Shawn Green
17. Jeff Bagwell
18. Josh Phelps
19. Prince Fielder
20. Frank Thomas

You have Shawn Green far, far too low. And you have Morneau far too high. I know people here are high on him and I can't for the life of me figure out why. He's had a slew of injuries in his short career and this spring. He'll be very good in the 120 games he plays, yeah, but you'll have to search the ww for help 40 games this year. Oh, and Fielder isn't coming this year. Craig Wilson is very good and should be on the list.

Top 20 Second Basemen
1. Alfonso Soriano
2. Jeff Kent
3. Marcus Giles
4. Bret Boone
5. Mark Loretta
6. Jose Reyes
7. Chone Figgins

14. Mark Bellhorn
15. Ron Belliard
16. Brian Roberts
17. Tadahito Iguchi
18. Aaron Miles
19. Chris Burke
20. Todd Walker

Kent is too high. Check out his splits from last year. He's an aging 2b without much to offer a fantasy team (although I don't think the Dodgers made a bad move in signing him). I'd also put Kaz Matsui on this list since he'll be eligible here pretty quickly. Rickie Weeks won't be in MLB until late this year at the earliest. Take him off altogether. Iguchi could move up. Where's Castillo?

Top 20 Third Basemen
1. Alex Rodriguez
2. Adrian Beltre
3. Scott Rolen
4. Aramis Ramirez
5. Melvin Mora
6. David Wright
7. Eric Chavez
8. Aubrey Huff
9. Mike Lowell
10. Hank Blalock
11. Troy Glaus
12. Chipper Jones
13. Aaron Boone
14. Vinny Castilla
15. Bill Mueller
16. Dallas McPherson
17. Morgan Ensberg
18. Sean Burroughs
19. Andy Marte
20. Garrett Atkins

You're overrating young guys again. Marte and McPherson should be lower if on the list at all. Chavez should be higher - I have him at #2 - because he learned to hit lefties last year. Expect an explosion. Ensberg hit .300 after given steady playing time last year. I expect that to continue.

Top 10 Shortstops
1. Miguel Tejada
2. Derek Jeter
3. Michael Young
4. Nomar Garciaparra
5. Edgar Renteria
6. Carlos Guillen
7. Rafael Furcal
8. Orlando Cabrera
9. Billy Crosby
10. Jimmy Rollins
Notables: Russ Adams, BJ Upton, Jack Wilson, Juan Uribe

Crosby is too high, Rollins is way too low. Jeter is too high, Nomar is too low. Where are Matsui and Reyes?

I'm quitting here because my girlfriend is ready to go out. Good luck.

I'm just a beginner :-) But, I take a lot of stock in what the Cafe rankers and drafters are telling me.

Mora is 32 years old, and since I guess the peak age of a player is late 20s, I think people are afraid that he had a "career" year last year.

Mora was taken well after those other guys in the Cafe Challenge draft I am in. He was taken in the 5th round while Chavez, Blalock, and Huff were all gone in the 3rd and 4th round. Another draft I did showed them all going around the same place. So, they probably all have similar ability. Due to age I think the younger guys get higher consideration.

I don't profess to be an expert at all, I am just pointing out what these other experts are thinking. :-)

To put simply you are overrating a lot of young guys. For example Fielder, Weeks,Morneau, Wright, Marte etc. I'm pretty busy right now but I may be able to go through your whole list sometime later tonight.

C- id say the top 3 are irod, vmart, lopez but they are almost interchangeable

1b- Id move sexson below lee and hafner

2b- put kent behind loretta, drop boone to a lot. Move down richie weeks

3b- wright does not deserve to be above blalock and huff.

ss- move up rollins next to garciaparra, IMO young is #2

OF- Bay is too high, move giles and lee up, move Todd Hollandsworth down.

SP- pavano down, id put carpenter and colon at least in the top 40

RP- nathan and hoffman up, dotel and takatsu down,

Kents getting older and moves to LA, move him down. Wright above Blalock and Huff? Are you kidding me? He is 8th round material in non-keeper. Konerko below Hafner is not a really bad move, but Konerko is way underated for a 40+ HR outing in 2004. Three catchers go Martinez, Lopez, IRod. IRod lost like 30 pounds over break...steroids???? Go Martinez or Lopez and dont look back. I find it comicle that Prince Fielder is on the list even thought he isnt slated to reach the majors tilll late 2005 or early 2006. Rollins being the 10th shortstop is a joke. Below Bobby Crosby, Cabrera, or even Renteria is a low to me. Mills13 has Bay above Patterson which I think isnt completely right. He has Garrett Anderson incredibly too high. Mags is much too high as well, his injury risk is too great to take voer a player of Dunn, Wells, Lee, or Damon's caliber. Preston Wilson in the top 30, good luck with that, ahead of J. Guillen, Sosa, and Hunter? I think not. Jacque Jones below BJ surhoff abd Shannon Stewart! I laugh at that! HAHA. Starting pitching....Oliver Perez above Zambrano is a little much. Perez is great but not enough to be above a possible 20 game winner. Halladay is low. Lower than Clement is kinda ridiculous. Burnett is low as well. He should be well above CC Sabathia. Eaton is low as well. Edwin Jackson? No way is he top 75. Loaiza? Get him out of top 100. Carpentar is much better than top 50, as is Colon, Penny, Escobar, Perez, Pineiro, and Bonderman. If i have to make recommendations to Mills13, it would be to reframe your entire rankings system. At the least the entire starting pitching rankings system because they are horrible. i actually really like his closer rankings. Dont mean to be an ass. Its all about opinion and person projections. I just feel that players you have ranked high can be taken in much later rounds than players that are ranked much lower.
