roadrunner wrote:the grundge seen ruined rock and roll it's a shame, the crap you kids have to listen to these days. if your talking real music out of seattle the only two with any mention should be jimi hendrix and queensryche. hands down Metallica is by far in the upper ecshelon of rock and roll pearl jam doesn't even belong in that catagory. how bout some real bands who have put there stamp on the sands of time LED ZEPPELIN #1 KISS #2 PINK FLOYD #3 METALLICA #4 QUEENSRYCHE #5 RUSH #6 what about BLACK SABBATH #7 SABBATH spawned the following: OZZY DIO RAINBOW THE DOORS #8 GNR #9 with a bullet , speaking of bullets LYNYRD SKYNYRD #10 what in pray tell has Pearl Jam contributed to Rock and Roll outside of mass suicides and kids wishing they had something real to listen too. HONORABLE MENTION:
JUDAS PRIEST IRON MAIDEN STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN AC/ DC VAN HALEN all the above bands blow the roof off the 2 chord off beat drumming talentless grunge joke. DEF LEPPARD had two double platinum records while eddie vedder was still jerking off to the langerie section of the sears catalog
i could list about 200 more that would go between here and pearl jam it's amazing i own over 500 cd's and not one of them consists of pearl jam, stp, i did have a brain fart in the early '90's and bought a nirvana cd it's been played once and i remember thinking what is tis crap. OF COURSE THAT IS JUST MY OPINION, I COULD BE WRONG
With such wisdom, you would think you would have learned how to punctuate properly.
Nirvana and Pearl Jam make a different type of music.. apparently you don't like it but it doens't make it bad. Personally, I love Nirvana and hate Pearl Jam. I also like a lot of the "true" bands you listed but I'm not a huge Zeppelin or Metallica fan.
Roadrunner, do you realize you probably sound the same as your dad when he said rock and roll was for hooligans who can't appreciate real music?
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
