if your talking real music out of seattle the only two with any mention should be jimi hendrix and queensryche.
hands down Metallica is by far in the upper ecshelon of rock and roll pearl jam doesn't even belong in that catagory.

i could list about 200 more that would go between here and pearl jam it's amazing i own over 500 cd's and not one of them consists of pearl jam, stp, i did have a brain fart in the early '90's and bought a nirvana cd it's been played once and i remember thinking what is tis crap.

Nirvana and Pearl Jam make a different type of music.. apparently you don't like it but it doens't make it bad. Personally, I love Nirvana and hate Pearl Jam. I also like a lot of the "true" bands you listed but I'm not a huge Zeppelin or Metallica fan.
