PJ, and very happy to see the score. Metallica was good, but Pearl Jam was 'the' grunge band, IMO, overshadowed only by Kurt Kobain's charisma - not necessarily his music. (I predict a backlash on this one.... )

if your talking real music out of seattle the only two with any mention should be jimi hendrix and queensryche.
hands down Metallica is by far in the upper ecshelon of rock and roll pearl jam doesn't even belong in that catagory.

i could list about 200 more that would go between here and pearl jam it's amazing i own over 500 cd's and not one of them consists of pearl jam, stp, i did have a brain fart in the early '90's and bought a nirvana cd it's been played once and i remember thinking what is tis crap.
OF COURSE THAT IS JUST MY OPINION, I COULD BE WRONG
